Septoplasty

If your septum is too crooked and results in nasal blockage or sinus problems then the septum may require repair called a Septoplasty. Septoplasties are performed through the nose without any scars on the outside of the nose or face. An incision is made on the inside of the nose. The septum is then straightened by removing the cartilage and bone and then reshaping the cartilage and replacing it. The procedure is done while you are asleep.
When Dr. Pasha performs the surgery, it typically lasts less than an hour and is performed using general anesthesia (you are asleep throughout the procedure). Typically, the patient goes home the same day unless other medical conditions complicate recovery.
Septoplasties are often combined with Partial Turbinectomies.
