In-Office Procedures | In-Office Balloon Sinuplasty™
Dr. Pasha is one of the first surgeons to utilize Balloon Sinuplasty in the office. He has mastered his techniques after participating in the original trials to support this procedure. If you qualify, Balloon Sinuplasty™ can provide a direct method to address your recurrent or persistent sinus problems.
Balloon Sinuplasty™ is an FDA approved technique that uses microscopic endoscopes placed through the nose to locate the ostia (openings) of the sinuses. A wire and catheter-based system accesses the openings. Once identified, tiny balloons are gradually inflated to open the blocked sinuses similar to how angioplasty is used to open vessels in the heart. This opening allows for normal function and drainage of the sinuses.
Dr. Pasha begins by numbing your nose with a nasal spray in the office. The procedure causes minimal pain and recovery. You may return to work or school the same day. As you recover you will need to keep your nose moist with nasal salt-water spray as well as use corticosteroid nasal sprays to keep the inflammation down.
